Step into a kaleidoscope of creativity with our resident Artcycle Crafty Recyclers. Unleash creativity and learn new skills with 4 step-by-step guided craft workshops. Each enriching 2-hour session focusses the hidden potential of rescued single-stream materials that normally end up in the bin.

Week 1
Mon 3 November
Card and paper
Choice of ebru printing or neurographia art to make a cover for a journal.

Week 2
Mon 10 November
Mixed metal
Junk tin embossing and painting trinkets with lacquer.

Week 3
Mon 17 November
Hard and soft plastics
Create a jelly fish, flowers and accessories such as jewellery or a popper/zipper pencil case.

Week 4
Mon 24 November
Textiles
Crochet and macramé items from tee-shirts.

What to expect at our guided workshops:
Material exploration: Learn how to identify and realise the creative potential of everyday discarded materials.
Design and production: Dive into a design process, from concept to creation, with support from experienced artists.
Styling and photography: Style your finished pieces on the set and capture them with a photograph to showcase your work.

Participants will:

  • Gain insight into sustainable creativity

  • Build self-confidence through artistic expression

ArtCycle C.I.C. is a non-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to reshaping hearts and minds by transforming the way we think about waste. Our mission is to inspire a more creative, conscious, and sustainable approach to everyday materials. Facilitators and volunteers hold a DBS, are first aid trained, and trauma informed. The course offers practical problem-solving under the guidance of crafty specialists and a professional graphic designers. Children will experiment in a super supportive space and suitable for all abilities. Gain a certificate and take home resource material.
