Did you know it's just 5 miles from Cams Mill to Portchester Castle along the picturesque Fareham Creek Trail? It’s absolutely beautiful where we live! The photos, taken by our wonderful residents while walking, create a calendar that truly embodies community spirit, making it an ideal gift!

Plus, all donations will be used to purchase equipment for the children’s workshops!

Message from Artcycle

Nestled by Portsmouth Harbour, and set beneath the chalky downlands Portchester is a gentle place to live. I’ve watched the open fields of my childhood give way to new houses, feeling both the ache of change and the comfort of belonging.

Most mornings I walk with my dog along the golf-course path at sunrise. Mist drifts across the fairways, birdsong fills the trees—just us, a litter picker, and prayer. From those quiet moments, hope grew into a vision: to bring the community together to clean up and create.

Artcycle is where people turn what was once waste into art—making beauty from broken things. We talk, laugh, 
share tea and stories, and discover something sacred: the power to renew even from the rubbish found in a bush.

Litter has become a symbol of healing, a reminder that light, hope, and purpose can restore both hearts and landscapes. I’ve learned that Lord God's goodness can be found everywhere, even in the quiet corners of Portchester—on a misty footpath, beside a faithful dog, with a litter picker in hand.
